So what is there for you to do during your stay in Bargara? - there's something for all ages and tastes.

	Bargara has three beautiful stinger free sub-tropical beaches which are warm even in winter, two of which are patrolled by lifesavers during the spring and summer months (September - march) Kelly's beach is one of Bargara's three safe surf beaches, and one of two patrolled by lifesavers. Bargara's beaches are safe for all ages.
	Bargara and Bundaberg are known as the "Gateway to the Great Barrier Reef", and for good reason. You have the choice of two nearby fantastic coral islands to explore, Lady Musgrave Island (accessible on the MV Lady Musgrave and aircraft) and Lady Elliott Island (accessible by aircraft). Both offer superb snorkeling and Diving, Lady Elliott rarely dropping below 25m visibility. Snorkeling is one of many activities on Lady Musgrave Island - others include bushwalking, SCUBA diving and glass bottom boat rides. Lady Elliott Island from the air. This Island offers Superb SCUBA diving and marine life including huge Manta rays.
	Bargara sports superb shore diving, and a dive shop to help you out, even if you've never SCUBA dived before. What a great way to try it out!
	During the Months of August and October, you can have the opportunity to take a cruise and see humpback whales on their way south to Antarctica. See Humpback whales at play in the Pacific Ocean
	Bargara is only a 10 minute drive from Mon-Repos, famous for it's turtle activity. In the evenings, you can accompany rangers to watch nesting Sea Turtles lay eggs (November - January) and baby hatchlings emerge. (Febuary - March) Turtles lay on many of the beaches in the area, so if you're lucky, you may see a nesting turtle on one of the swimming beaches too. Get a close up view of nesting sea turtles as they lay their eggs.
	Bargara offers both a safe swimming environment and mild surf perfect for the beginning surfer.
	Bargara's award winning professional 18 hole golf course has earned every bit of credit it has received and is one of the finest in Queensland. Recently renovated, it's club house overlooking the sea is a great place to enjoy a drink. Bargara's Golf Club overlooks the Pacific Ocean and local swimming beach, while across the road, 18 professional fairways await players.
	Bargara has three bowling greens and a friendly bowls club, ready to welcome you.
